James graduated from Durham University with a first-class BA in Philosophy in 2022, before completing his legal studies, achieving a distinction in the GDL and subsequently passing both SQE 1 and 2.
Before starting his training contract, James worked as a paralegal in Clintons' Immigration team, where he gained experience handling a range of immigration matters.
While at university, James co-founded an organisation that hosted regular gigs and open mic nights, helping to cultivate a vibrant live music community. Outside of work, James enjoys writing and performing music, attending gigs and other live music events as well as playing football. James is also a keen traveller and an enthusiastic Arsenal fan.
