Danny is a commercial media lawyer, with broad experience advising businesses across a range of commercial and regulatory matters.
Having spent much of his career working in-house for major media organisations, Danny enjoys working closely with commercial and operational teams to find practical solutions to commercial and legal issues, balancing risk management with getting deals over the line.
While Danny’s work covers a range of different sectors, his main areas of focus include:
TV: content distribution and carriage arrangements, content licensing and production, broadcast compliance and regulatory matters;
Sport media: advising rights holders and broadcasters on the sale and acquisition of media rights, major sponsorship partnerships;
Art: advising galleries, artists and collectors on commercial matters (including representation agreements); and
Gambling: advising online platforms as well as game and PAM suppliers on commercial contracts and licensing arrangements.
Before joining Clintons, Danny spent two years in the Media & Technology team of a major international law firm, advising media businesses such as the Premier League, BT, Paramount and UKTV. Prior to that, Danny spent a decade working in-house for AEG, Paramount, NBC Universal and BT Sport.
Danny read Law and Criminology at the University of Sheffield. In addition to his commercial media practice, he also holds an LLM in International Law from UCL, and has written several articles in this area that have been published in academic journals. He is fluent in French.
